In its first six months the Center for Media Development will offer to CJA members professional trainings, thematic workshops and consultations regarding applications for financing journalistic initiatives.
The Conference will be held on Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Big Hall of Journalists’ Building at 10.00. Along with CJA representatives, participants will be addressed by Eivind Lid, executive director of the, Katrine Strøm, member of the Norwegian Institute of Journalism Board and Frode Rekve, Norwegian journalist with many years of experience in media.
The Center will start operating the next day, October 25 and 26, by two-day journalist training „How to make high-quality article for web site using smart phone“.
The lecturer will be Jon Terje Hellgren Hansen, well known Norwegian photo-reporter.
At October 27 the training „Ethics in Journalism – systematic reactions against non-ethics following examples from Norwegian mechanism/Norway“ will be held.
The lecturer will be Kjell Nyhuus from Norwegian Press Association.
Up to 20 journalists are expected to participate each of trainings and about the exact time participant will be informed through web page hnd.hr.
Trainings will be held in English.

This Center is the second one established within the CJA. The first was Center for Protection of Freedom of Expression, launched last year. It provides legal assistance of more then 30 lawyers in Croatia to CJA members.
