CJA's message to President Vučić: You have no right to speak untruth and to insult journalists

According to media reports the President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić during his official visit to Croatia accused Elvir Mešanović, journalist of N1 TV, for making up that he mentioned „Great Serbia“ at his speech in occupied Glina in 1995. But the truth is the journalist just reminded Vučić at his speech that actually took place - the speech was recorded and it is possible to hear what Vučić really said.

Croatian Journalists' Association (CJA) condemns Croatian Radio Television (HRT) General Management's decision to start procedure of handing extraordinary dismissal to its journalist Milorad šikanjić. The procedure followed comment Milorad šikanjić had on Ivan Vrdoljak's coming back to position of Croatian People Party (HNS) and other political topics in radio show „U mreži provog“ on December 19, 2017.

CJA welcomes taking into custody person who threatened journalist Nataša Božić Å arić and points to threats against columnist Jurica Pavičić

Croatian Journalists' Association (CJA) welcomes quick police reaction that resulted in taking into custody a person who sent offences and death threat by social networks to Nataša Božić šarić, N1 TV journalist. Threats were sent after the TV show „TNT“, edited and hosted by our colleague. The topic was the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) sentence for Croatian general Slobodan Praljak, who committed suicide in the Court, and discussion bout should he be deprived of his medals.

Croatian Journalists’ Association CJA) strongly condemns death threats and insults against our colleague Nataša Božić šarić. After the show she regularly hosts on Sunday she received many insults and threats through social networks. Threats were reported to the police and CJA calls relevant institutions to immediately find perpetrators and punish them.

Croatian Journalists' Association (CJA) condemns HRT Management's reaction related to the latest show „Sunday at 2“ of Aleksandar Stanković, its author and host. HRT published press release saying „Croatian Radio Television (HRT), highly regarding the Constitution of the Republic of Croatia and the Parliament Declaration on Homeland War, distance itself from standpoints expressed in the 'Saturday at 2' show at November 19. In the show Aleksandar Stanković, its host, repeatedly referred to the Homeland War as to 'civil war'.“
